Yoga therapy involves applying the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being through a therapeutic relationship. This includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups. To practice yoga therapy, one must undergo specialized training and skill development to support the client/student and effect positive change for the individual. As yoga therapists, we prioritize creating a safe environment for learning and healing and conduct ourselves in accordance with the principles of yoga. We adhere to the ethical principles of yoga laid out by Patanjali in the first two limbs of the eight-limbed path (yama and niyama) and strive to incorporate these principles into our professional practice.

A therapeutic yoga session includes asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), and meditation. I have worked with students who are recovering from a recent surgery, in treatment or experiencing health challenges. I have also practiced with students who are struggling with life-changing diseases, chronic pain, and change of life circumstances due to grief, aging, and mental health issues like depression, post-traumatic stress, and anxiety. The healing art of yoga works and is a practice that is accessible for every beautiful body meeting you right where you are.
International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)-certified yoga therapists are committed to responsible and ethical practice. I have been a member of the IAYT since 2014 and have the great privilege to have taught 1000's of private and group therapeutic sessions to students of all all ages and body types.
Chair-based yoga offers the same benefits as traditional yoga, like boosting strength, flexibility, and mental well-being. The practice is great for older adults, people with certain health conditions, and those who work at a desk all day. You are most welcome to practice in a chair.
I currently offer live–zoom group Therapeutic classes Tuesday's at 9am, Thursday 11am and Saturday at 4pm

Yoga has typically been taught in private, one-on-one sessions between the teacher and the student, which is the traditional way of teaching. Our Private Yoga Sessions are designed to assist you in strengthening and healing your body, mind, and soul. We cater to your specific needs and desires for your practice, addressing any concerns you may have.
Home yoga practice is a fantastic way to start or enhance your yoga practice. It is convenient, efficient, and effective. We will work at your own pace and address your specific concerns, goals, and aspirations in the comfort and privacy of your own home. If you are nearby, I can come to your home, or we can schedule a live Zoom session at a time that is convenient for you.
